Our little independently produced app series won another iKids award at Kidscreen, Miami! Sunny's Hootenanny is now officially a Kidscreen winner!
Here we are having a little celebration with our great producers Leah Mallen and Marc Stephenson, who accepted the award. Hooray us and also our great developer Loudcrow!
Inspired by Spring's rollerskates in our first story, "Windy's Lost Kite", with their licorice allsorts wheels (yes, they are real ... and yes, many of our supplies "disappeared" from the art department work tables, heh heh), we present: the licorice allsort costume. Cheap, cheerful, no mess and materials under $10 ... if you make one please send us a photo!
Materials: black clothing, white cardboard box, duck tape from the hardware store in black + and one bright colour (we like flamingo pink, too). Make yourself some duck tape suspenders and tape some stripes around the box. Done!
The first edition of Weather Magazine is out and the cover feature is Sunny, fresh off his Hootenanny adventures this summer! This is actually Sunny's second time on the cover of magazine, so he's used to it, these days!

Our most recent apps, "Meet Windy & friends" and "Sunny's Hootenanny" are the first two featured apps for kids on the App Store (iTunes) — hooray! It's a big deal for a small independent series like ours :)

We're putting the finishing touches on our upcoming Easter appisode, more about that soon! It's almost finished...
(update: we've had a technical issue, but stay tuned, the gifs look great and our tutorial will come out soon) We are also putting together a tutorial for making your own stop-motion animation. Learning about stop-motion and getting in the director's chair was one of the most interesting parts of translating our books to apps. We have a fun and simple tutorial for making your own at home — stay tuned!
